ANIMATION SHORTS
The "Tentacles" shorts were originally a single idea we had come up with together, and after much discussion, had pretty clear visions of... however despite any similarities, those visions were quite different from one another. This, in itself, was no new revelation. We had in fact, discussed several projects in the past that would highlight that difference by each presenting our own 'take' on specific themes and/or quotes. Eventually we decided to apply that general concept to this project. tENTACLES, vOL.II
This is my, D:/'s, vision. The aesthetic of "Tentacles, Vol. II" was largely inspired by my memory of the Smashing Pumpkins' "Tonight, Tonight" video and a few scenes in Terry Gilliam's "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen". The project was rather controlled, relying heavily on a combination of rigs for much of the movement. Intended to simplify everything, ultimately the streamlined process had it's own complications. Goals of the project were modest... simply, to become more comfortable with the animation process and to test out different methods. |
